2026.07.3001:16:34UTC+00Philippines Producer Inflation Edges Down to 3% in June

Producer prices in the Philippines rose 3.0% year-on-year in June 2026, easing slightly from an upwardly revised 3.1% increase in May, which had marked the highest rate since February 2023. The modest slowdown was driven largely by weaker price gains in the manufacture of coke and refined petroleum products (2.4% vs 3.0% in May), computer, electronic and optical products (5.6% vs 5.9%), and basic metals (5.5% vs 5.9%).

By contrast, producer price inflation for food accelerated to 1.7% from 1.5%, supported by a sharper rise in prices for grain mill products, starches and starch products (2.5% vs 0.7%).

On a monthly basis, producer prices increased 0.2% in June, following a 0.3% gain in May. For the first half of 2026, producer prices were up 2.3% compared with the same period a year earlier.
